Second story I've read like this during is week (replied to you on twitter with other).

Daughters, dogs and wives. To me, that's a great combo. Glad Cassie got to go "home" in a real home rather than a shelter. Our rescues -- one not too far from there -- should have such a noble final resting place.

Julia won't remember me, but I'm thinking of her and the fam, pal.

This makes me close to tears just sitting in the office reading it. It's a wonderful tribute. I'm so sorry for Julia.

I've been a dog guy my whole life and have 2 current rescue pups. Your story is fantastic (though heartbreaking) and really shows compassion and what animals who have been left for dead really need. I commend you for taking the step to adopt an older dog and hope that you guys keep your heads up.

Take care

I have to admit a fascination with Brian Wilson because of his blend of excellence and idiosyncrasy. As someone smarter than me recently said, he's the Brian Wilson of baseball. Plus, Grecian Formula needs to sign him up for an endorsement like yesterday.

I'll be pulling for the Rangers, especially now that the Cowboys have become so toothless. I think you all have a good chance of winning, unless Giants reliever Brian Wilson somehow brings THE MACHINE into the equation. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrkSElfm7Lk for more ...

Well said. Loved it.

I half raised my boys at the old ballpark and consider this playoff run to be the sports highlight of my 30 years here, in Fort Worth, Texas.

I am enjoying this ride no matter what happens.

Enjoy the Series.

I'm starting my Hail Mary's early.
